Lake Minnetonka & The Freshwater Society

Diane Lynch, Director

It is predicted that the oil crisis will seem insignificant in the face of the pending water quality, scarcity and access crisis. Since 1968, the Freshwater Society has been dedicated to educating and inspiring people to get involved to value, protect and preserve our water resources that are necessary for all living things.

Diane Lynch, Director of the Freshwater Society will share with us a presentation on Lake Minnetonka, its history, our local water quality challenges and realistic ways to make a difference locally to preserve our water resources. She will also give us a brief background on the Freshwater Society and future educational symposiums open to all.

In the interim check out their website, www.freshwater.org to view past and future programs on a variety of subjects such as the effects of road salt, organic agriculture, lakeshore restoration, environmentally sustainable business practices of multinational companies, community clean-up, and kids’ programs
