Gift Making Workshop

 December 3

9:00 to 11:30 am

The Gift Making Workshop has become a Christmas tradition at St. Luke.  It is an opportunity for Kindergartners through 8th graders to make gifts for their friends and relatives with members of St. Luke helping them.

For a small fee to cover materials and a donation for the food shelf, the gift makers arrive on a Saturday morning to create an exciting line up of gifts that have ranged from pet toys and bird houses to bath salts and jewelry.  The younger children are assigned a middle school or high school assistant who will take them from station to station to help them create their one-of-a-kind gifts.  They leave that morning with a bag full of wrapped, handmade treasures plus some wonderful new friendships.

Please note that we will be accepting donations of food and/or checks for the ICA foodshelf during the workshop.

Adults and older youth, we need help with gift-wrapping, snacks, registration and assisting at the craft tables. Please sign up on the poster at the back of the sanctuary. Thanks!

Sneak Preview (No Parents Allowed)

On the Sundays of November 13 and November 20, your children will be invited to a Sneak Preview of gifts they can create at the annual GiftMaking Workshop. The Workshop itself will be Saturday, December 3, from 9:00 to 11:30 am for children in grades K-8. At the Sneak Preview, children will see and sign up for the gifts they wish to make. Each child will get a receipt listing the gift (by a secret code), the cost of the gift and the time needed to complete it. This is top secret stuff! The slip will go home with your child that day.

If you have questions, please call Nancy Kizilos-Clift (612-730-5552) or Julie Kaplan (952-938-2605)
