St. Luke is a joyful, inclusive and compassionate community on a spiritual journey seeking to do justice, make peace, act mercifully and walk humbly with God.  In all of our education programs we seek to live out our mission.

Our children's programming involves learning about various Bible stories, and exploring how they inform us to be loving neighbors to each other and all creation, and how in doing so we show our love to God.

Our middle school class (sixth through eighth grade) takes this one step further.  We walk through the Bible, Genesis through Revelation, as well as examining church tradition, asking questions of it, and allowing it to ask questions of us.

Our confirmation class is designed to address issues of faith important to youth today.  How do coexist in a world with a plurality of religions?  How can other religions inform us and our own tradition?  Where does injustice exist in this world and what should our response be to it?  How does our faith tradition inform our sense of right and wrong, moral and immoral?  Along the way these youth are expected to wrestle with their own faith, and develop a statement of their own personal beliefs.

Our senior high class is working on putting their faith into action; selecting an area where they see injustice in the world, researching it, design a project to address it, and carrying that project out.

The Children's Focus Group and Youth Focus Group are in charge of developing education programs.  We welcome everyone to join in! (Adult Education is administered by the Spirited Learning Focus Group.)
