Freshwater Society - Leslie Yetka

The mission of the Freshwater Society is to promote the conservation, protection and restoration of all freshwater resources. For fifty years the Society has been a leading non-profit organization dedicated to conserving, restoring and protecting freshwater resources and their surrounding watersheds. Leslie will address the history of the society, where it stands today and plans for the future. In addition she will cover landscaping for water quality and our changing climate, which should be of particular interest to St. Lukers as spring approaches. Additionally the Master Water Stewards program, familiar to several St. Lukers, will be outlined. All of St. Luke's socially minded "youth" are encouraged to attend and invite their friends, whether church members or not. To explore the subject further please visit: https://www.freshwater.org/

Leslie joined Freshwater Society as a program manager in July 2016 and took over as director of programs in 2017. For the past eighteen years, she has worked in education, community engagement, and public planning with a focus
on water resource management, sustainable landscape practices, and community resilience to climate change.
