BeFrienders
Providing Support & Care
Throughout the year, St. Luke’s BeFrienders are here to provide compassionate, non-judgmental listening and support. BeFrienders are trained in intentional listening and can meet with you for a single conversation or ongoing support. To connect with a BeFriender, contact the church office.
Depression and Anxiety Support Group
Thursdays, 3:00–4:30 p.m., at St. Luke
The Depression and Anxiety Support Group is not a therapy group but is a welcoming, weekly gathering for individuals facing challenges related to depression or anxiety. In this supportive setting, members have the chance to form meaningful connections and genuinely support each other.
Each meeting starts with participants sharing what they are grateful for, highlighting positive events from their lives. This is followed by an open period for individuals to discuss personal struggles or concerns they may be experiencing.
The group is built on respect, compassion, and non-judgment. Its goal is to offer encouragement, understanding, and a sense of community, helping participants move toward a more hopeful and fulfilling life.
Grief Support
West Suburban Grief Coalition
The West Suburban Grief Coalition is an extension of 16 area churches to help provide understanding support and education for persons who are grieving the death of a loved one. The Coalition meets every Thursday except holidays from 4 to 6 p.m., currently at Oak Knoll Lutheran Church in Minnetonka.
