The Theology of Broadway

St. Luke hosts an ongoing music series, The Theology of Broadway, under the direction of Minister of Music and Worship David Hovick Lohman. The series features local performers examining spiritual, ethical, and moral issues through the lens of musical theater. Prior performances have featured music from shows including Into the Woods, Frozen, and Wicked.

St. Luke’s Lohman is a progressive Christian songwriter, singer, and activist living at the intersection of music, faith, and the LGBTQ+ community. Prior to joining St. Luke, Lohman spent more than three years conducting the Broadway tour of The Phantom of the Opera.
