Stacy Barnes and Jo Haugen of Alight will discuss immigration issues in Minnesota and across the United States. Alight, based in Minneapolis, is a world-renowned organization that has helped refugees and immigrants in UN refugee camps and at-risk areas. It has also helped resettle migrants and asylees from various nations in Minnesota.

Stacy Barnes is Alight’s U.S. Enterprise Co-Director. A champion of human-centered design, Stacy collaborates across sectors to challenge outdated systems and scale solutions that make integration easier, more effective, and rooted in real community needs.

Jo Haugen serves as Marketing & Engagement Manager for Alight’s U.S. team, where she supports New Americans on their journey from arrival to belonging. Her work includes storytelling, community engagement, and development. She will share insights into immigration issues and the challenges currently facing refugees in Minnesota.
