Library Corner for June

June Is Pride Month

Our church library has a number of books for all ages about LGBTQ+ individuals and families, biblical interpretations, spirituality, pronoun use, and more. Use the button below to see a book list and PDF of some of the resources on our church library webpage.

Included is Taylor Brorby’s new biography, Boys and Oil: Growing Up Gay in a Fractured Land, about growing up gay in Center, North Dakota. Our library also has had, for many years, the heartwarming children’s book about a two-dad penguin family, And Tango Makes Three, which is now banned in Florida!

Our library also has a few children’s books about Juneteenth (June 19th), which commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S. and broadly celebrates Black culture.

Check-out is for three weeks. Just sign the library card and place it in the little black caddy on the counter. Then please return the item to the black bin just inside the library door within that time frame.

Please contact the office with any library questions. Enjoy reading!
