Immigrant Rapid Response Fund
/In 2024, a group of Latine philanthropic leaders formed the MN Latine Fund to support the long-term sustainability of Latine communities. As it became apparent that threats to all immigrant communities were escalating, the group created a short-term fund to address the needs of all immigrants: the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund (IRRF). The goal was to raise $5,000,000. As of this week, about 7 weeks into the campaign, IRRF has received almost $13,000,000 in contributions and has granted over $8,000,000 for urgent needs, legal aid, and community organizing and mobilization. Across Minnesota, 64 organizations have benefited. Grants are tiered, ranging from $20,000 to $600,000. The average contribution is $175. There have been 62,000 individual contributions and 144 organizational contributions from every state, Puerto Rico, and 53 countries.
