Makoce Ikikcupi Midsummer Art Festival
/Saturday, July 11, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Earth Lodges at Zani Otunwe, 5310 285th Ave, Granite Falls, MN
We’re excited to welcome everyone back to the earth lodges of Zani Otunwe in Granite Falls for a joyful midsummer celebration of Oceti Sakowin art, culture, and community.
Spend the day exploring beautiful artwork from Indigenous artists, enjoying delicious food, listening and taking part in activities for all ages. Guided tours of the earth lodges will be offered throughout the day, sharing stories of Dakota lifeways and the ongoing work of cultural restoration.
This is a family friendly, alcohol free event held on Dakota land. Please help us care for the space by bringing:
Your own water bottle
A lawn chair
Cash for purchases
Awareness that there are no modern facilities on-site
Our featured artist this year is Janice Albro (Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate), who now resides in Oklahoma. Janice is known for her stunning paintings and beautifully crafted bronze sculptures, and we’re honored to showcase her work at the 2026 Midsummer Art Festival.
Come celebrate creativity, community, and the beauty of summer at Zani Otunwe. We can’t wait to see you there.
